You’d think the tv bods would want to show upsets in the cup, so having a non league team at home would surely be their first choice. So Alfreton, Chester/York, Chesterfield, Eastleigh and Maidstone games would be my suggestions. If they televise one Friday, one Saturday and one Sunday, we’ve got a decent chance. After the Cray Valley draw, it probably won’t matter if the non-league side is away. Chesterfield are not typical non-league having spent just 4 seasons outside the league and a swanky new stadium, but I guess it can be hyped into a David v Goliath battle by the broadcasters…

Our game will be televised. It's the most likely shock of the round.

Sorry lads, not a chance Chesterfield v Orient will be chosen as the live TV match. For a start they just showed Chesterfield. Will be Eastleigh v Reading or maybe Derby County game or probably Wimbledon v Ramsgate Loads of TV channels to chose from so I think it will be on TV .

Our game will be televised. It's the most likely shock of the round. Well Chesterfield are certainly ripping up the National League, 14 wins from 17, so yes it does look like a potential shock. In some way they might be considered favourites (as they are at home), which might suit us, as we won't underestimate them.

A horrible draw which because they have already featured will not be televised and unless you go to the game will not be able to see as it will not be streamed.

Undeniably a tricky tie, but we are clearly prioritising a cup run due to the much-needed financial benefits of progressing.

One way to look at it is when we were top of the NL would we fancy our chances at home against a full strength similar placed L1 club?

Our game will be televised. It's the most likely shock of the round. I'm not sure. Maybe if Chesterfield beat Man City at home it's a shock but if Leyton Orient lose in the 2nd round of the cup who will be shocked?

Our game will be televised. It's the most likely shock of the round. How much with the win will it amount to for the O's if televised. One of the teams I have always disliked Chesterfield,I don't suppose they are too fond of us.

I remember the evening of the darts and coins at the old Salergate..And we took a right pasting on the pitch as well.We went one up but they ended up getting 4 or 5

As I recall, Chesterfield cheated their way to promotion (or some such) a while back, although the exact details escape me.

Didnt they then attack some of our fans when we took brown envelopes to the away game? Im sure they were christened ‘cheaterfield’ for a while. May be just my memory.

I was at the Droylsden game a few years back, that was fun Me too, crazy match, red and yellow cards galore. I remember they had a young lad on the wing who spent most of the game giving out abuse to the West Stand. We reminded him of the score a few times and to get back to his day job at the supermarket checkout 😁

Definitely not to any of us. Chesterfield have Will Grigg playing for them amongst many other players of likely League One quality. To the TV watchers a non-league team at home to (one of the highest ranking teams currently in the competition) League One is a shock.

I often look back at the Droylsden highlights for absolute giggles. And to watch what a very raw Paul Jose Mpoku was like.
Not just 8-2.
But 8-2. After extra time.

I’m sure the broadcasters regretted not going to Brisbane Road for the Maldon & Tiptree game… … that was a shock. Albeit probably not for Os fans.
