Terrible mistake by Bryn for the opening goal for Oxford, he needs to improve a lot with his distribution.
Perhaps we shall learn lessons from this defeat, one of which is that Theo is wasted as a wing-back. One bright spot was the smartly taken goal by Ruel

TA was so out of his comfort zone trying to deal with their No7, really left wanting for pace and he’s no slouch, just not able to judge when to move as he’s not a natural left back.

I think RW would prefer to play 4-3-3, so Theo would be part of a front 3 imo.
Trouble is the injury to Graham and long term to Agyei has meant we haven’t got a natural winger to play opposite TA and rather than put Ruel out wide where he gets lost, it is easier to play 3-5-2 and try and shoe Theo into the wingback role.

And in doing so we negate the skills of Theo and add a weakness to the defence. Tough on Theo, thankless task. |
