Here is an update on the players currently on loan at various clubs.
One point I do want to pick up is this new wave of players not wanting to wear shin pads instead they wear these pairs which are 2 inches in length, yes you read that right. Jack Grealish wears them and in my opinion they need to be banned as they offer virtually no protection at all. Most leg breaks are in an area these pads don’t cover, these are dangerous and I can’t believe they’ve not been banned yet. If you look at Zech picture look at his leg and you will see a small lump in the front about two inches long, that’s the shin pad. I know from experience a pad will save your leg from getting broken. In one game I went into a tackle and we hit each other really hard and I heard a snap, I thought I’m in trouble here expecting my leg to be broken, checked it and my leg was fine, my shin pad had snapped in half from the force, I’ve no doubt if I had not been wearing or wearing these little things I’d have broken my leg.
