Well he's now in the final and whilst he is still a boy, he seems to have an old head on his shoulders. Nothing faces him, not the lights, not the crowd nor the attention.
This boy look like the real deal.
I'd like him to win.

Think the dream continues, in the 8 selected for the league competition running over the next 17 weeks. The money (sponsorship) will roll in now and raise his profile. It will also show whether this run was a fluke. No mugs making up the other 7, all experienced pros who have seen it and done it before. The lad could well be on his way to fame and fortune. I hope he can manage the grind of longer term top competition. He could become a top class player, or simply fade away. His average in the final would have been enough to win 5 of the last 10 finals. Just met someone on a roll. |

I read he is the real deal, the circuit has known about him for quite a while actually. The word is he is the greatest talent the game has seen, pure natural talent and they say he will and should eclipse Taylor which when you think of what he achieved in his career that’s some expectation.

Be good. Though I do wonder if Taylor’s 14 world titles will ever be beaten. Even MVG isn’t close and for a long time he was untouchable. But to make it he needs more than darting talent which he undoubtedly has. The grind starts now. Week in, week out against top professionals at a wide variety of locations takes more than scoring ability, it takes mental toughness and resilience. It remains to be seen if he has that string to his bow. And there are some big names in the premier league, players who know how to tough it out on tour. Really looking forward to seeing how he does. Wish him well. But I do hope this is not too much, too soon. |
