I’d say he has the mental fortitude from what I saw of him especially in the final. He was unfazed by everything going on around him, he even took the time to ask the crowd to stop booing Humphrey’s. He has an old head on young shoulders. I wish him well and his journey has certainly caught the attention of the public as approx 5million tuned in when the previous records was less than half that.

It would be good if he could compete well and consistently, it needs fresh blood and he seems an interesting character with bags of potential and the confidence that comes when you are 17, arrogance if you like. But he will need to contend with the current world champion who is hitting a peak, though others like Price, MVG, Smith, Wade and others seem off the boil. Cross is inconsistent. Will be an interesting league season for sure and far more interesting with him on it. |
