Been told by a West Ham fan that's there's rumours we are interested in their Teen sensation striker Callum Marshall, apparently he's been pulling up trees in the PL2

I don't go big on these Premier League loanees.
However if true I hope it's more Harry Kane than Shaquile Coulthirst. Or James Walker.

The advantage we might have, is that he’d be pretty much guaranteed game time with us, even if it was just as a change up after 60 minutes.

Giving it some thought I think we should be looking to loan in youngish (23/24 years old) , experienced players from the Championship (30+ games) who have fallen by the wayside and not in favour at the moment.
Can imagine the likes of Millwall, QPR, Ipswich, Norwich have loads.
See how they fit over the next 6 months and then make a decision in the summer. Like we did with Sadlier. And what we're doing now with Brandon Cooper.
I wouldn't go for the young loanees. We have those in the likes of Forde, Turns, etc.

We mustn't get giddy because a player comes from the Premier League youth setup. Most of the players are just stooges to fulfill a team.

We mustn't get giddy because a player comes from the Premier League youth setup. Most of the players are just stooges to fulfill a team. Except the odd gem is to be had. Some for sure are space-fillers but not all. Our Scouts should be able to tell the difference. I can think of a couple of young loan players who turned out to be OK. But a solid 23/24 year old with experience but not quite up the championship football could be a good call. Hit the ground running and with something to prove. But I’d be surprised if a) someone comes in and b) if they do it will be end January when it takes them a month or so to get up to speed. It’s the Orient way. I desperately hope to be proved wrong. Especially with our injury record and the cards mounting up.

His numbers are insane. 16 goals/3 assists in 10 so far for the u21s this season, following 16/3 in 17 for the u18s, plus 3 senior international caps. I'd love to sign an experienced L1-ready striker but it ain't gonna happen. This kid seems as good a punt as any.
