I think someone needs to have a word with George Petchy as our corners never beat the first man!
I was too young to be at that game, but noticeable things. No gloves worn by the keeper, pass back and pick up alowed, pick up and put down and pick up the ball again allowed, challenge the keeper allowed, lack of shin pads, no 4th official fantakes over running the line, mixed fans no segregation and Brisbane Rd with about 30k people in it! It's a good watch we get 30 mins of coverage, it's the main game of the show.

I was there, the policeman chasing the United fan up the floodlight pylon being asked to come down over the Tannoy is a favourite Brisbane Road memory. One of those moments when all fans cheered.

If I had a choice of any Man Utd player in that team it would be Lou Macari,I thought he was a fantastic player.

mixed fans no segregation I suspect that is because the ground was overrun with Manchester United supporters!

I missed the game as I was on holiday, from what friends told me the United supporters were a disgrace sleeping rough in Coronation Gardens and defecating in the street overnight before the game and the atmosphere was very hostile. I made up for missing the game at our place by going to Old Trafford in December for the return game. We were terrific on the day and were robbed of a win when Tom Walley( I think it was) had a goal disallowed for a reason other that only the referee could see.

Monkey noises whenever Fisher or Heppolette touch the ball.

Me 3, they were not a nice mob, glad to see the back of them, was at the return match, we was robbed, Ref bottled it.

I watched this the other day, it popped up on my Youtube recomends list, wasn't at the game I was only 8-9 years old, made me remember though the bad reputation Manchester United fans had back in the day, especially in the 70's
The Brian Clough interview at the end was "interesting" to say the least.

Agree with an odd call by the ref ref in the away match with a decision that favoured the biggest team.
