Surely he has to agree to being sold? Couldn't have been that upset 🧐

Maybe he was upset because he was told he's been sold to Orient 🤔

I'll be monitoring this thread closely. I would've thought he'd need to agree the move. If he's been sold and it's not to us, then I'll like to thank him for helping us get promoted last season and getting us to mid table this. Thanks for showing us loyalty when you had bigger clubs interested last summer.

I’m sure he has a final say but his parent club can quite easy make it very difficult for him to refuse, especially if it’s a good financial deal for them. Like either go or play in the Ipswich reserve setup without the option of a loan for the next 18 months and watch your career suffer perhaps.
Hope he stays with but if not, thank you for all you have done for us. Always get a good welcome from me at Brisbane Road.

He may well have the final say but if the deal he is being offered sets him and his family up then its not really a choice. He isnt ours to keep but he’s ours to mourn. If he’s gone then we can only thank him for his effort. I only ever saw him give 100%. Seems like he loves the club as much as we do. Those scenes at the end of the season ‘we want you to stay’……

And if it was his last game for us then what a way to bow out.
Some clubs seem suited to certain players. I believe he could be a star here for a while to come.
At other places, played in different positions with a different style. Maybe not.
But we all know the value of money and I'm sure Idris will do the right thing when balancing it all up.
To think we haven't got an offer on the table would be foolish of us to think that. At the same time it'd be foolish to think that we could compete with the funds coming from the top 8 clubs (not Stevenage, but Charlton).

If this is true and I'm not saying it isn't but would ipswich have let him play yesterday and risk an injury

Could of course be that a sale is in the offing if Ipswich are prepared to accept a bid this month but a deal wouldn’t have been done prior to the Portsmouth game just in case of an injury.

We are sure to have an interest in El Mizouni if he if becomes available on a permanent basis. I do slightly disagree with your comments on the ability of the O’s to “ compete with the funds from the top 8”. On a one off basis ( such as El Miz) I do believe we could if the Board wished to do so. The fact that they may choose not to do so is their prerogative as owners. No complaints from me about that but - within sensible parameters- the club need to ditch the “ little Leyton Orient” that Hearn did so much to perpetuate.

Not just competing with a fee but also his wages. And whilst the little tag irritates the hell out of me we have to be realistic. Some much bigger teams than us in league 1. The extra income generated from crowds of 15,000 plus is a massive advantage that we just cannot compete with, especially with the weekly wage bill. I don’t expect our owners to foot the bill every week. As ever we are constrained by the modifications made to our ground.

I think if they can see an investment then you're bang on the money. Just a personal feeling though is that we blew a lot of it on Graham. And that's not a bad thing! Be nice if we could have our cake and eat it too 🙂

But as an ‘addict’ I still come and focus on the team and ignore the surroundings. I’ll even buy a beer in the East on Saturday as per NT. train’s permitting

Hearn has a great deal to answer for.😕
