So 5 of the next 8 games are against teams above us. Tough schedule, but if Saturdays result is to be more than a one off, this is the time to show how far we’ve come. If we are closer to fifth and sixth at the end of February, we are going to have an interesting run in. Come on you O’s.

*5 of the next 8. Reading, Carlisle, and Burton all below us. We've gotta win those 3.
I'm cautiously optimistic about the others. We've already earnt points against Barnsley and Blackpool, and (eventually) given a good account of ourselves following early meltdowns against Barnsley and Oxford.
The only thing I'm certain of is that the Northampton game is gonna do my effing head in 😅

I also find it interesting that the three automatic teams to be promoted from last year are sitting inside the top 10 with well over half the season played. Richie was correct at the start of the season saying he doesn’t think the quality of the league this year is as difficult as years prior.

Richie was correct at the start of the season saying he doesn’t think the quality of the league this year is as difficult as years prior. The teams that went up with us have all improved their squads, bar Carlisle who are desperately trying to do so now. Perhaps a little late. We ran away with league 2 last season, this season we are holding our own and mid-table respectability. whether the quality is better or worse than prior years is something I can’t comment on. But I can definitely say the quality is better than in Leagues 2. I went to a NL game at Eastleigh not so long ago, a stark reminder of why I hated NL so much. Mediocre. League 2 was a step up in quality there too.

Barnsley and Oxford games key for me. Two lowest sides in the playoffs and a win would close the gap. Probably best we are away to them, as feel we are better on the counter with Agyei, Forde and Theo and generally speaking the home side will be expected to take the game to us.
