What's happened to the pitch coverings used last year to protect the playing surface?

What's happened to the pitch coverings used last year to protect the playing surface? They're on the pitch at the moment, they only protect to about minus 3 or 4 though and that might only be for a certain amount of time.

I wonder how they operate in Scandanavia does the football season shut down there?

Hope it’s on £60 on train tickets for two of us. Plan B is a few hours in the Stratford shopping centre. Looking at the weather predictions it should be safe for the players.

I'm obviously thinking wrong here, I thought one of the advantages of our new pitch, paid for by Tottenham Hotspurs was that it wouldn't get waterlogged and could withstand a few degrees of frost, It was put to bed last night with blankets and pillows, not sure about hot water bottles, so why are we doing pitch inspection a full day before the game, could it be neither club wants game to go ahead.

A courtesy to the travelling fans and team which is reasonable. Read somewhere that the covers we have cope with -3 centigrade which covers most of our weather situations. -6 overnight round my way but hotter weather on the way The new pitch as I understand it is mainly grass but with other stuff thatched in to give strength. New drainage was put down too. But there is a difference between a waterlogged pitch and one that is like concrete to play on. Can’t play on a frozen pitch, too dangerous.

Will be fine….those 4 blokes who poke away at half time with their three-pronged pitchforks will see to it

It can be early if it's bad weather so the fans get a chance to not start the journey. Ultimately the ref decides the time and the outcome. Its up to 6 degrees now so and will only drop to 1 degree before getting back to 6 degrees tomorrow.
I fancy it's game on.
