This really is a growth and great period of our history. Investment in the ground, in the playing staff, more fans through the turnstiles, all show we are heading in the right direction.
The loss is a little worrying as its rather large as a percentage of turnover. The board seem unconcerned though. Cash in bank is healthy and the plans for the future certainly indicate that our progression is to continue. I note that Nigel mentions a new training ground and stadium although both in early stages show the commitment and vision to continue our growth and forefill the potential they believe is possible under their stewardship.
Can't wait to get to the game today after reading that!

There's mention of concourse improvements (East and South) which includes toilet upgrades. I was once close to the owner/board of Santa Pod Raceway in Bedfordshire and saw, first hand, their many attempts to generate revenue by increasing footfall through the entrance gates. Efforts included importing famous American race teams, sponsoring the most popular racing classes to ensure the show was a as good as it good be, better food/drink outlets, more asphalt - less mud, helicopter rides, monster truck shows, drifting expos, fireworks, CAMRA tents, rock bands... the list is long. The one thing they did which out-performed every other initiative (by miles) was to build posh loos for women. The reason it worked soon became clear... many more women attended, many WAGs were happy to come along thus the husband/boyfriend didn't have to choose between going racing or spending the weekend at the garden centre with Erin doors. Women will not attend of the bogs are unpleasant, they are 50% of the population and have a significant role in the entertainment choices of him-indoors.

When we played Charlton, my son sent me pictures of portaloo's with laughing faces. If thats what it's like over there now then the improvements will be welcomed I'm sure.
