Sixteen points from the last seven games and five clean sheets on the bounce is a wonderful return.
I thought yesterday we looked physically very strong and fit which is a huge testament to the backroom
staff. Well done to all.

Looking at the next three - reading, Carlisle and Port Vale. What an opportunity to put pressure on. Anything less than 5 points would be disappointing although 7 is more than achievable.
Achieve that and I think it we could have a right go at squeezing in to the mix.

Realistically the playoffs are out of our reach, unless one of the top 6 implodes.
If Barnsley and Oxford continue to average their current points return, we’d need to average 2.5pts per game until the end of the season, 16 wins out of 19!
Finish strongly, improve the squad in the summer and be in the mix next season would do for me.

I think playoffs are out of reach but don’t really see that as a downer. This season the squad are establishing themselves as a decent league 1 team and a top 10 finish, in fact a top half of the table finish will be an excellent outcome.
I’d be surprised if any of us supporters are unhappy.

As I laid in bed last night still trying to get warm,my mind drifted to a warm play off night that might just be on.A pleasant thought, as was the epicaricacy of the Bolton fans saying what a dung heap of a club we are.Some very spiteful words were spoken.
