Given the noises coming from Carlisle over finances, the idea of them spending £50k on Drinan looks wrong. Not least because he's injured as well.

No major issue with Drinan going - if indeed there is any substance to the rumours, but in my personal view I think some of the comments on this thread are unwarranted. His injury issues are well documented and unlike some we have had in the past there is never any doubts about his effort.

If we sell Drinan to Carlisle for £50,000 let’s get a statue of Martin Ling put up in the Park, or rename the stadium to the Ling Arena perhaps?

There has been a bid put into the club for a player, for obvious reasons Ritchie wouldn't expand in who it was, but it didn't meet our valuation of them.

I don’t agree with all this slagging off of drinnan , he has been unfortunate with injuries which have made him unavailable for long periods ,and for that reason we would be wise to part company with him however he always gave 100% and I hope he regains fitness and form and does well.

Championship winner Aaron Drinan too. Let us not forget that.
People have short memories.

I got the feeling it was someone we're glad to have around but could otherwise be described as surplus to requirements - someone like Thompson maybe?

Will be gone at the end of the season so cash now? Why not. Sounds like Cooper and Beckles is next seasons pairing, Happe has done a great job for us but should be playing at a higher level and earning accordingly. Can only wish him all the best.

Two terrible injuries and returned a better player, that takes some effort.

As I’ve said before on here , the rumours about Dan leaving have been circulating for some time in the LOSC at least. I think he’s a first class prospect for a Championship team and would be pleasantly surprised if we can hold onto him beyond this season. If there is a genuine opportunity to cash in now then - for the overall good of all parties - it’s logical to do so but I would love to see him stay.

I’m surprised he didn’t leave in the last close season, maybe due to his injury so teams not wanting to take a chance. But he is Championship quality and as a tall, left footer, with bags of experience is league winning teams he will no doubt attract attention. And why not. 25 years old and reaching his prime. I’d love him to stay, but I very much doubt it.
