It's all over 'X' - for what that's worth. £50K fee if personal terms can be agreed.

Pandamonium Fanzinepandamonium1881 ·2hAre these accounts actually run by anyone with even half a brain.OK, so there was talk yesterday of Drinan going to Carlisle (3 separate reports) but the notion that CUFC would pay £50k for a player out of contract in the summer & 1 goal in a year is laughable.Other posting: TC5 @tcentre5 Carlisle United have had a bid of £50K accepted from Leyton Orient for striker Aaron Drinan. He is travelling up to Cumbria next week to have a medical pending agreement of personal terms.
Drinan would be well advised to wait unti after Storm ISHA before travelling.

Would surprise me tbh.
But Carlisle are desperate and cannot wait until his contract runs out, he has a proven record scoring goals in a team playing a style that suits him and maybe Carlisle do just that. Could well bang in the goals for them that keeps them up. If not they have a decent striker for the next two seasons.
So maybe.

Ryan Edmondson just left the club unexpectedly so they have an open position for a 1-goal-per-year striker.

I think he’s better than the stats say but we dont put it on a plate for any striker. They have to work incredibly hard in our system

We should take the money and run like the clappers, best bit of business ever, Liked him and "Smudger" when together on their own Drinan droped away, shame but there it is.

Would seem an odd one to me as Carlisle have just signed Luke Armstrong from Harrogate who is a similar - but more effective - goal scoring option.

I think fans remember Armstrong when he was scoring lots of goals but it hasn't worked out that way this season with only 2 goals scored in 15 ,so a bit like out Aeron .

If Drinan wants to go to Carlisle, I'll drive him the 300 miles myself!

He was on fire when he first arrived with us, so there’s some talent there, but the last season and a half have just been injury after injury. Never been able to string a run of games together to find any form. I’d be surprised if he gets a new contact in the summer, so it makes sense for him to go now if there’s an opportunity for him.

You can come with me if you like, just to make sure he doesnt do a runner before we get to Carlisle I'll drive ahead to clear the traffic cones away and pay up front for the" Ling" coffees ready and waiting for you, I'll seal up the windows in the loo so he can't do a runner, assuming he can still run, anything we left out anyone?

Given the noises coming from Carlisle over finances, the idea of them spending £50k on Drinan looks wrong.
