World Champions are a balance between driver and car. If either falls short it’s game over.
Hamilton remains in my opinion one of the finest racers in formula one. Not a good driver who is lucky enough to have the best car, but someone who is able to get the best out of a modest car by aggressive and positive driving. Put him in a great car and he will win as we have seen.
Last season he did well in a below par car. Way short of the Red Bull cars. If he was driving the Red Bull he would be world champion. Be interesting to see if Ferrari are competitive next season.

Looking forward to the F1 season, hope it is not another one team bore.I think the start of a F1 Grand Prix is the most exciting opening of any sport, except the first over of an Ashes series.

Ashes gets my vote every time. Nothing like a fast bowler thundering down and unleashing a taste of what’s to come. Setting the scene for a full on no quarter given series. Mind you when Bob Willis was bowling you had time to get a few beers in whilst he was walking to his run up mark. That was usually the Oval for Lords games. 😂

Christian Horner said just last week that the rest of the teams had caught them up and he expects it to be a whole lot closer next season.
