I'm gutted for my 15 year son, he said we will win 3-1 and he'd have got £75! He was 30 secs from winning the bet!
Anyway, Ruel was absolutely useless today, but he scored a good goal by opening up his body nicely.
First half we were playing too slowly, too many backward passes and not enough connection between the lines. I thought the balls over the top and in behind them were working well, but a bit quicker movement and I'm sure a few more chances would have been created.
Monks was superb today, and deserves to keep his place. I saw an ice pack on his right knee at the end of the game, I'm sure that's to help and ease the tendons.
I thought Galbraith was once again superb. Beccles was a bit Wonky donkey at times and didn't seem quick enough moving the ball across his body or feet. Hope the injury isn't too bad.
Forde took his 2 goals superbly and with a bit more awareness could have had more by anticipating the play a little better.
James had a good game and was solid all game.
Pleased with the win, but if we'd have stepped the pace up earlier we could have got 5 or 6 easily.
Upto 9th now let's keep going!!

Beccles was a bit Wonky donkey at times and didn't seem quick enough moving the ball across his body or feet. I thought that Beckles was the only one who had a poor game. Everyone else more than OK, especially Moncur and Galbraith. I liked the little we saw of O'Neill too.
Frustrating that we were down to zero goal difference until the last 30 seconds

That was very Jekyll and Hyde. We need to learn to kill teams off, especially a poor side like Carlisle who barely threatened except when we put ourselves under pressure and looked nervous at the back. Still three points is three points. On to Tuesday.

Well done. A wins a win but... Carlisle were so poor. Has there been a worse team at Brisbane road this season? Nevertheless, you can only beat what's in front of you. Just as well Ruel scored his well taken goal. Great composure.
I thought Forde played very well. Not because of his two goals but his runs were brilliant. Runs to have the ball played through and runs to draw out players.
I worry about our up front presence with Agyei out for the remainder of the season. With Drinan gone, although I didn't think he'd be the answer, we are limited, again, up front. I believe Piggot can do a job and hopefully he'll get his chance. I'd keep Forde where he is as he's doing well. I'm interested to see how useful our two Premier League loanees perform.
Forde's second goal (and Pigott's missed header), was that a set piece routine? Strikes me so.

Great analysis which would echo what the chap who sits next to me and I though throughout the game. Ruel looked schoolboys and happily he scored, otherwise that would have ranked as one of the worst performances I've seen at Brisbane Road for a very long time from an Orient player. He looked as though he didn't know what was going on. The crowd around us started to get quite narky about it early on. It was a blessing he scored and you could tell from his body language immediately afterwards that it had rescued something for him. A word for Joe Piggot; I felt sorry for him today. He missed three good opportunities and would have had them in the net with more confidence. He did more to rattle their back line in his twenty odd minutes than Ruel did for his 76. He's a good League One player and should have been on from the start today. He looked a bit under the weather frankly and I think it was due to the team choice.
