Ruel walks away from that game kicking himself as a hat trick or four were defo there for the taking, that’s just from the highlights. Too slow for one, ball is stuck under is body for another, an extra touch on one wasn’t needed and the other the ball crashes down and out from the bar.
The pass from James for the goal was superb, excellent vision, perfectly weighted with great execution and a nice finish.
We keep moving forwards ticking off each game one at a time, we have confidence and a belief we can win, long may that continue.

My word, what a ball! I thought we wouldn't see a better assist this season than Sanders for Shaq at Pompey, but that was on another level.

Ruels goal chances were not that easy as some seem to think and the one that hit the bar was a half chance he reacted quickly to, some go in some don't.

I think he can be forgiven for missing any one of those chances in isolation but when you get 3 or 4 like that as a striker you've gotta score at least one of em. Have to remember though, despite how much he's played, he's still young and isn't our first choice striker.

He may come really good one day, knocking them in all the time. If we get to the Championship then that would be some achievement if he sticks with us. Well done Ruel.

Having just watched the highlights, he looked dreadful. I'm sure the rest of his game last night made up for it.

I've said it a few times before but he looks equally as good/bad against L1 opposition as he did against L2 opposition. He has improved. I wouldn't be surprised if he shuts a lot of people up next season, although I'd imagine the Championship would be a step too far on the off-chance we go up.
