This is when Monks is unplayable when running at people, this is what I want to see him do more of. Lovely finish from Ruel as well.
Their first goal as a keeper if you come that far you have to win it, either by catching it or punching the ball away. If you look at his body shape his hands are nowhere near doing either. He will learn from this experience. Their 2nd goal, looks like brown let his man go, I've replayed it about 10 times so not 100% certain, saying that they had a 2nd man free as well, you must track the runner and not let them get off your shoulder like they have.
Shame, but we go again.

I didn't watch the game but have been told by people who did that barnsley were all over us in the 2nd half , both of those goals should have been prevented , poor keeping for the first and static defending for the winner in my opinion 🤔

It's very unlike us to concede late goals but looking at the highlights wd just kept inviting them to play long balls into our penalty area no pressing them at all.Barnsley are a very good side though and will probably go up so no disgrace losing to them just the way it happened was disappointing

If we were not tired out and had continued playing with vigor and attacking, we would have scored a second goal before they even scored. Irrespective of % of ball retention which is not the datum of success we would have won that game,
It quite annoying as if the Lincoln game had a different outcome, we could be six points higher and with our current ability be sitting in the playoff positions - we can still do that if we don't get any more injuries.

Well it was good while it lasted but injuries have reduced us to bare bones, happe and adjai are massive losses. We are now in the position of having piggott as our only senior striker, and the only centre halves available are those 2 playing. Archibald was a big loss yesterday as his non stop running is immense. Sorry, but with half our first team out when you include Graham and the Lincoln aquisition who has played so little I can’t even recall his name we are down to bare bones. If I was a neutral I would have a massive bet that Northampton who we can’t beat at the best of times turn us over on tues @ 4/1

Is that asking too much of them? only time will tell. Sharp learning curve if RW chooses to throw them in to the pot.
