Anyone staying up late tonight to watch this? If so can someone explain the rules to me. Please.
It seems to me it’s just a load of blokes in tight trousers and shoulder pads chasing each other around for five seconds completely missing the bloke with the rugby ball before they go to adverts for five minutes.
I believe the half time show is by Usher and Taylor Swift, who I know bugger all about. They might be our new signings for all I know or care.
‘Ap the O’s.

I tried to watch the super bowl once. Never again. It wasn't even just the sheer amount of ads, but the way they try to cram them into every stoppage and then end them prematurely when the game starts up again. Either show the ads or don't ffs.

Your friendly American correspondent watched it so you did not have to do so. Much of the commentary above is accurate. The commercials did contain a surprise. There was an EFL related commercial that was likely viewed by 100 million potential customers and fans featuring SToK Cold Brew, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Wred the Dragon, and Wrexham Football Club.

Missed a trick, Theo needs to do the half time show next year

I enjoy American Football. The tactics, variety of plays and so on is fascinating. Though don’t claim to understand it all, but enough to enjoy it occasionally. The whole thing is a massive event, far more than the game itself quite often. Advertising is interesting. Cost per 30 seconds is huge and the returns on investment can be even bigger. But can also flop. Where else can you get 100 million plus people watching your message at the same time. As for Wrexham. The name will now be familiar to many people and whilst it may not result is merchandising sales to any great extent, it opens up the name to potential investors. I doubt they spent big bucks to increase the sale of scarves but in the world of rich, sporting people with money to spend, the word has been spread.

Theirs (Wrexham) is more about awareness of the brand, its what Ryan Reynolds is good at. Look at the mobile phone company he sold or the drinks company all built by his persona and brand awareness.
He is doing it with Wrexham, I did read they get £4m per season from Disney for their show, just think of that for a moment. In the National league! Now in league 2 and on it goes giving them a financial ability to afford them an edge to compete and do they ground etc.
Good business if you ask me.

He is now identified with the goodwill related to Wrexham's rise. I have seen Wrexham shirts here in the most unlikely places. They make a few bucks off the shirts but the free advertising pays the real dividends. As they say, all publicity is good publicity. One of the commercials featured Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Jennifer Lopez, all world famous and the first two Boston ambassadors and big sport fans. They were also endorsing Dunkin Donuts. When I think Boston and Dunkin Donuts nowadays I think of NT. Celebrity investment could bring money and more name recognition. I know that was just a little cheap industrial beer and too many nachos induced daydream last night on my part, but what if the board have those same kind of thoughts?
