I actually had the exact same surgery 10 months ago. It's tough. I'm still struggling to run for any significant distance.
Should point out that it's an absolute miracle how much we got out of the lad with an ACL missing. It was inevitable that this would have to happen eventually.

Isn't Theo's contract up in the summer. Should we be thinking of not renewing it due to his knee issue/rebuild then I hope we reconsider. Theo has worked hard for us and continuously played through niggles. I can't help but think that our continuous demand from him has greatly contributed to his knee problem. Aware of our budget constraints, etc.. I hope we give Theo at least another year to allow him the opportunity to show us and other clubs what he has post knee trauma.
I suspect we knew the severity of Theo's issue in January and made a smart move. Ollie looks a real good signing.
Here's to a speedy recovery, Theo.

I'm sure he will be offered a new contract as our owners are true gentlemen. It maybe split where we pay him x amount whilst he recovers and y amount once he starts to play again. These sorts or contracts exist so maybe that's a route we will go down unless the insurance covers everything then maybe he gets full whack?
But I'd defo give him another contract.

I’d be staggered and a little disappointed if we don’t offer him a new deal. Whether 1 year with an extension deal or a two year deal based on medical reports. He deserves it.

I know firsthand what a difficult operation it is to recover from (still trying 😅) so think 1 year with an option to extend probably makes sense for both parties.

Over the last 50 years I have had two ACL operations on my right knee ( caused by dodgy football tackle ) and also torn cartilage in my left knee in year 2000 ( lost half the cartilage after tripping in garden whilst helping to carry a kitchen unit ) now awaiting knee joint replacement on my right knee.

When you listen to Richie’s interviews you get so much more from him than the normal platitudes. The guy lives, breathes, sleeps football and his study and understanding of tactics is so far ahead of any manager we’ve had before. He really is special.
