Last night will have taught the young loanee what life is like to play in a full-on blood & thunder league one match. I imagine that's an experience Arsenal want us to give him. He doesn't have time playing with his new team mates and that showed, no blame, it's a learning curve he must go through. It's unlikely he'd have experienced so much strength and muscle power snapping at his heels in U23 football. Welcome to mens' football young man, you'll be a little better equipped in the next game and that will start you on your senior journey, who knows how far you can go? Early days.

What did you think of Adu-Adjei? I only saw the last 10 mins but he seemed fairly involved.

I think it was a good baptism of fire for both of them, I'm sure they loved it as much as we did watching them, Brill all round.

I liked Adu-Adjei, a lot. In the 13 mins or so he played, he looked a lot more physical, more of an old fashioned number 9, and got involved a lot.
Edwards is slimmer, very quick and did ok for a first game in league football.
I would like Adu-Adjei to start on Saturday. I can see both making a contribution, but Adu-Adjei looks better at the moment

So good old Fish and Chips and Pie and Mash to order. This of course unless he is a Vegan.😆

I can’t agree. While he by no means dominated the front line, it was clear to me he knows how to play football- he passed well and I thought he got stuck in where required, which wasn’t often. He got in to good positions and opened space by occupying their centre-halves. Didn’t make any mistakes. Thought it was a decent debut, if not spectacular.

He did the simple things he had to do,nothing more nothing less

It's unfair to judge him on one game.Lets give him and the other new lad our full support and a chance. It took Forde a good few games to get up to speed and what a fantastic talent he looks to be

We didn't get to see a lot of Edwards on the ball but he's a big lad and quick over the ground and he made a nuisance of himself. From the South Stand in the second half you could see the defence knew he ws there. Adu-Adjei was playing a bit deeper and go more of the ball - I think maybe he and Ruel swapped places . Also looked handy.

Adu also looked strong and powerful and that you can't teach.

Also looked handy. Sure. Give him time. Shaq Forde didn't look anything special when he first arrived but he's one of the first names on the sheet now. Hopefully we'll be saying something similar of the two new loanees before long.

Much easier to look good coming on as a late sub against tired defenders when the game is opening up. Harder when you start the game. Both of the them looked okay. Early days. We shall see I guess.
