I didn't realise at the time that Ruel took his second goal
on the volley. Technically a really good goal and harder to
do than it looks.

Technically a really good goal and harder to do than it looks. indeed, the ball came over his head from behind, how on earth he could see it, run into the right position and then connect with a volley with accuracy. A striker's goal. |

It was a very good and cool finish as it would be easier to swing at it than time it to perfection which he did. To me that is a harder finish than the one he skied over the bar, whereas on sat he let the ball come across his body to finish superbly and this time rushed it probably due to the defenders pressure and hit it early lifting it high. His header was a proper centre forwards header as well, and it's not something I'd connect him with either, but a bueatful header none the less. Oh and it was another set piece goal as well! I also noticed when he came on that his leg was heavily strapped and I thought that don't look good, thankfully it held up cos he was vital to us winning that game. Didn't know this existed on the main site, but it's his stats for the season. Including cup goals, he's equal with 21/22. |

Including cup goals, he's equal with 21/22. thanks for correcting me. I honestly thought he got 10 last year, well even better than I thought from a goal perspective. Still think when I look back at his chances and opportunities he could and should have 20. Which says to me there is more to come from home. |
