Reports in London 24.
Quote by Francesco:
“We have an agreement within the next three years, we will see what the options are for this agreement, which is very open and transparent in the way it is settled,” said Becchetti.
“We want to improve the stadium from an aesthetic point of view and in terms of expansion substantial changes.
“But I think that at this specific moment we are approaching the beginning of the new season and therefore we have other priorities.”
That can only be the re-build of the East Stand. If he wants to spend money on development like that you would have thought he would want to either buy the ground or the very least have a long term lease. Secondly, if FB really has sights on Orient being a top level club, can Brisbane Road be developed enough to cater for that?

One step at a time, but the Championship is as far as we can go at Brisbane Road, higher than that we will have to move.

Hmm I agree with crusade re if we did get to the premiership then I'm sure a bigger ground would be needed
Mind you if they did develop Brisbane Rd I suppose the East Stand could be 2 tiered maybe the Family ice cream stand to
I would love to see a new West Stand to I think it's such a waste of space once the seating has finished
Question is if we where promoted could we actually command a 20-25000 gate every home game
There's a huge bit of land that doesn't seem to be doing anything since the Olympics finished it's on the way to Leyton same side as Hackney Marshes and just before Spitalfields market
Has Boris Coe etc forgot about the Olympic legacy already ?

BH and FB already said we would have to move if we made premier league, that we wouldn't want to turn people away from watching us

If we were consistently in the Championship. A day that's a big if. I feel the East would be redeveloped with the possibility of safe standing.

I suspect we will never see a significant area of safe standing if any at all, nor do I remain convinced there is significant enough amount of demand to warrant the cost.

Could the East or North Stands could be significantly enlarged? They overlook residential area so an extra tier isn't likely to be feasible; the potential for enlarging the South Stand went when the extra flats were built so only the West Stand offers any opportunity for development, but that could really only be done by knocking it down and starting again.

Seriously you should talk to the people at Brentford regarding a new ground.Your ground is very much like ours expansion has been stuffed by gradually selling off your land.We I'd the same in the eighties when we knocked down the oak end to build flats and replaced it with a Wendy house that holds 1600 away fans the other end was also reduced due to flats being built. With more strict planning these days you are very unlikely to be able to develop your ground to house 20000 fans.

There is already planning permission for a min 5,000 seat East stand, just we could never afford it!
