I’ve been looking at our form over the last 10 games in which we’ve accumulated 23pts and thought if we can continue that for the next 14 games, is it realistic to think we might make the playoffs. Well that sort of form would get us to 80 points and if Oxford, Stevenage and Peterborough continued their form over the last 10 games, where they have been averaging around 1.5pts per game, we would overtake all 3 of them! So having posted this, things are bound to go (.)(.) up this Saturday, but just thought I’d share the info with you, as it brightened my afternoon up.

I didn't think we'd have anything to play for after the first half of the season so to be in with even an outside chance of finishing anywhere near playoffs is a tremendous effort given the really bad luck we've had to our most attacking players for all of the season

In my not especially informed opinion:
- Peterborough have hit a blip in form much like Portsmouth had when we were fortunate to play them. They had 7 games in Jan (we had 4) so they're simply knackered. I think they'll right themselves and probably remain around 5th.
- Oxford will plummet. They overperformed at the start of the season and have looked rickety since we played them. I reckon we'll blow them away next weekend and they'll end up 9th or 10th.
- Stevenage also overperformed but not to the same extent. Results are levelling out but Evans is a wiley enough manager to keep them in the running. It could be between us and them for sixth, unless our injury issues deepen even further.

We should be able to enjoy the games now.

We should be able to enjoy the games now. It's a great position to be in for the club and supporters. There's no stress. We can't be relegated, and while we're unlikely to make the play-offs we can give it a good go. If we fail we'll still finish in a respectable mid-table position. Most of us would have bought that at the start of the season. Next year could be good too. It's a very decent squad and if it stays together, RW stays, and we have better luck with injuries, we should be competitive. Good time to be an O's fan.

Save the injuries I wonder what we could have done, but injuries are part of the natural flow of football,so the status quo is just that.
