Not happy, too many backwards passes, too many sideways passes, too slow in passing, not forward passes of conviction, Beccles and Cooper's performance not good enough.
Everything I said at half time, apart from Cooper. It's so poor to lose that today its unreal. That's it from me tonight.
Oxford is now a must win.

I suspect that Wellens’ “ the squad isn’t strong enough “ remark might lead to a few people revisiting his interview a fortnight ago after the transfer window closed ! 😮🫤

Theo - injured and back next season Graham - injured and back next season Agyei - - injured and back soon? Happe - injured and out another 10 weeks
That's our 4 best players out plus Brown suspended.
What team wouldn't suffer with their best 4/5 players not available?

Every team suffers injuries. Brown is poor discipline so self inflicted. Hardly a surprise. The opportunity for some players to work hard and establish themselves not take the day off. Not the first time RW has bemoaned about the players going backwards and sideways. Seems they don’t take any notice of him. Drives me nuts.
Today was a bad day. One best consigned to the dustbin of crap performances. No excuses. Pretty much end of season. Overall a decent season but f-me this is not a game I want to remember. If they don’t get a rocket from RW in the privacy of the dressing room I’d be surprised.

I'm in the south of the West Stand and so spent most of the first half watching Beckles and Cooper passing to each other. 83% possession before half time but it felt like 75% of that was in Burton's half.

Same here. So sick of our negative play. Looks great on the possession stats. Dominating the ball my arse. Frustrating because when we go for it we can be quite good. But the players don’t have the balls to do it very often. A wasted opportunity today against a poor side, but a side who worked hard and went for it. We were gutless today. I can accept we will lose games but our spineless performance today made me sick. RW wants more from us fans! Today was not worth the effort of going. Not the result, used to that, but the effort for our team. What a shambles.

I get he has just got banned which might have been good for him as he looked tired to me recently and the rest could be a blessing in disguise. Now back to my point. He's not getting done for mouthing off, he's getting done for want of a better word late tackles. These new laws are designed to punish any transgression and in time tackling will be banned. He's not going round the pitch "doing" players and some of his bookings are to me considered harsh. The laws are the laws, but poor discipline I wouldn't aim it at him.

When I've noticed he has been booked it has been for something innocuous. The booking against Northampton was a complete surprise and drew gasps from surrounding supporters. He's not a noticeably rough and tough player like Damien Partly. He's got some lovely passes in him and creates in the middle. I'm wondering if a lot of his bookings are from a number of small fouls which, added up, combine to create a booking. But I can't even remember him doing this. However, it's good he had a rest. He would probably have fitted in with the theme of yesterday's performance and not been a game-changer.

What team wouldn't suffer with their best 4/5 players not available? Happe and Theo are two OF our best players. Graham and Agyei have had small parts to play really and I would regard them as promising but unproven. Hopefully they'll be less injury-prone next season.

What team wouldn't suffer with their best 4/5 players not available? Maybe an opportunity for other players to step up and make a claim. O’Neill is doing exactly that. Taking his chance very well. Not seen much of Agyei all season and done reasonably OK without him. Forde is covering a wide position admirably and likely scoring more than Graham. However we have no cover at CB, so no competition for places this season. For sure a loss, but it’s a squad game, not like years ago when it was the first 11 and the stiffs. All teams suffer injuries. We have had our fair share of course.
