Having bumped into Dale, on and off, for as long as l can remember, it is a little concerning to see they've called an EGM for March 7th.
Matters to be decided include an unrestricted shares issue, removal of the auditors and removal of the need to consult about about changing the articles of association. I take this to mean they are about to declare themselves a business autocracy and sell shares which they'll produce from a back pocket.
As the lead of their supporters club put it; "this is an existential matter for Rochdale AFC".
I hope they get through this.
