If and when our tenure of League 1 is assured and play offs not possible, should Sol Brynn step aside for our own keeper who will be with us next season?

Our own keeper Howes ,gets no game time or experience in matches and when he has a stupid portion of the crowd (and forums) get on his back with pathetic nicknames etc .

Are nicknames a result of performances or do they create performance. Howes has been mediocre when opportunity has come along. I doubt he will be number 1 next season.

Howes has been mediocre when opportunity has come along. I doubt he will be number 1 next season. He won't be. Definitely signed to be backup. Tbf I remember him being excellent at Blackpool away, although could just be that my expectations were that low after conceding 7 in the previous 2.

He played very well in the Blackpool game, in fact most likely MOM ! But just as he was coming good, left out the next game due to Brynn coming back from injury.

He may have been at fault for some goals, and I've probably said that on here, but he was getting absolute pelters from people. That must have been nice to read and or hear. Give the man a chance, that's not aimed at you doh, but at the people who gave him pelters.

Definitely thrown in too early but showed some potential.

Maybe we could get someone on loan next season. From a championship club perhaps, eg. Burnley?!

Sam Howes is not a rookie. 26. Plenty of games under his belt, at a lower level. experienced. But his record shows that even at lower levels he finds himself loaned out so maybe not considered good enough to be the number 1 too often. He has all the signs of being a good lower league player. At our level emergency cover at best. I would be astounded if he was our number 1 next season. He won’t be, let’s face it. An inadequate replacement for Sarge in all honesty.
Not only shot stopping, he like Sarge just doesn’t command at the back. A spectator. Vigs made mistakes, so has Sol and Howes. But Vigs exuded confidence and that become contagious and he was about the same sort of age as Howes when he joined. A Nervy keeper leads to nervy defenders.
No need for name calling at all. Dont agree with that. But some of his shortcomings were the architect of that so needs to look at his game first. Football is a man’s game and there will always be an element ready to dish the crap. Don’t make it right. But that same element are ready to dole out the compliments too. Thats life.

I am stating a hypothesis, no more and no less. If you read all my comments my views are clear. Frankly you need to grow up and stop looking for things that don’t exist. I am not suggesting anything and it is f-ing outrageous that you should say so. Try reading my last post! Pretty clear! Even for you. “No need for name calling at all. don’t agree with it” Can you understand that? Or is it too complex! Ask a friend to explain.
