Anyone know what the chances are of a loan extension? He's been part of the Middlesborough setup for 15 years without a single game. (Vigouroux has hadn't a game at Burnley either - who'd be a keeper?)

However, let's firm that up early on so we can focus our energy on other positions during the summer.

For his age he is a tremendous goalie I think we are very fortunate to have him on loan I hope he stays

I thought at the time he was a bit slow for the goal yesterday 🤔 I watched Gordon Banks, Peter Shilton, Ray Clemance, Pat Jennings, The great Welsh Everton Goalie and many more. I don't think they made many errors. They must of made some. Sol is younger than all those when they were in their prime. Any mistake Sol has made as a ratio of all the good saves and work he has done is very favorable for Sol. Goalies they say do not reach their prime until late 20's. Sol is much younger. Leeds had Gary S. in goal for ages he made a few mistakes. Chelsea has Peter B. in goal for ages he also made mistakes including one at a World Cup. But he was a fantastic goalie when one considers the number of games he played in.

John Jackson was very good too I liked Ray Goddard too he was excellent. Going back to the 60s I liked Mike Pinner.
All goalies will make mistakes it is asking the impossible for them not too.
Football is not a science subject sitting in a controlled classroom - subject to weather lighting, wet slippery ball and ground and other players getting in their way does not help.
I think a goalie has the worst position on the pitch that why at school no one wanted to go in goal and usually the worst football person that no one picked ended up in goal.

I cannot make my mind up about Sol,some on here like him so I do not put my real thoughts as he is only a youngster. But if we signed an experienced goalkeeper with a good pedigree I would be pleased.

I think Sol will have a really good career and i think he's done well for us this season.Weve been spoilt with Vigs over last few years and any new goalkeeper will be compared with him.We are unlikely to get anyone as good as Vigs but i do think we should try to sign a permanent experienced goalkeeper next season. If not I'd be happy to get Sol back for another season ad he'll be a year older and wiser

I think he’s okay tbh and would be quite content if we were to be able to secure his services next season. Whoever does eventually end up in goal for us , I would much prefer it not be as part of a loan deal though.

Disappoints me as the Middlesbrough fans who posted on this forum could not have praised him more.Maybe I expected better or just annoyed at yesterdays result, probably the latter.

The goal we conceded yesterday is a goalkeepers nightmare it's in that danger zone where defenders should get the first touch on it.The keeper either has to gamble or stay put and make a save if a header comes in.They are made to look silly when it evades everyone and then it's often too late to readjust

Goalkeepers make mistakes that often lead to goals. Tough gig. Outfield players make mistakes consistently on the field of play and have team mates to dig them out of a hole more often than not. I’m not one for rollocking a keeper for the odd mistake when for the majority of the time they do great things.
I like Sol. Keep him if at all possible.

I thought at the time he was a bit slow for the goal yesterday 🤔 Unfortunately yes. But it looked like he wasn't the only Orient player ball-watching.

I still don't see why so many rate him so highly. I wouldn't be against bringing him back but, like others, I'd rather someone permanent. Come summer you'd think we'll be in a position to attract a higher calibre of player than last time and we've had a year to look.
