When purchasing seats in the east stand is there a particular area to seek or avoid? I would like to see both ends (so halfway line and higher up). Justing wondering if there are areas with limited/obstructed views.

I get a restricted view when people stand up.

In most of the stand you'll need sun glasses if it's a sunny day! And there are pillars in the way of some seats which is why I moved back to the West Stand this year.

I wanted two together in a central location. Only East available. Now I’ve got an obstructed view of one penalty area and it really annoys me. These old stands with pillars are well past their sell by date. Won’t make that mistake again. The only way to be sure is get there early, know what seats are available, have a look then book. Or you are taking a real chance.

I had a season ticket for a number of years in the East Stand enclosure the terrace along the front of the East Stand was a decent view from there but of course standing, imo the only way to avoid a restricted view would be the top row of the seats in the section that was formerly terracing and along near the halfway line. The seats that are level with the pillars and the entrances/exits to the stand. Could never understand why Hearn converted the East Stand enclosure from a terrace to seating and reducing the stadium capacity, I had a season ticket in the North Terrace after that for a couple of Seasons before moving to the South Stand.

I would look for first row of upper tier with extra legroom and no pillars obstructing your view, even if you are in blocks B & A towards the north stand. Sitting further back means pillars will obscure the action at some point. For Barnsley, I booked late and ended up with great views of the two goals, but missing some of the midfield action taking place behind the pillar.

Sit in the front row, has easy access to the pitch for when you want to streak
