Who on this forum saw that match at Brisbane Road the season we were promoted to League Division One.In the style of Sid James,I was,and standing with Liverpool fans on the South Terrace.

I was there too. A wonderful day, never to be forgottenThe following season I used to sell jackpot tickets in the South stand entrance where the away supporters used to come into the ground. Liverpool supporters were by far the nicest, best behaved fans we played in those days who came to matches. Liverpool has always been my favourite Premiership team for that reason.

I wasn't even alive and by a long way as well..in fact I've never seen us play Liverpool.

I am not sure if I was there But I clearly remember Manchester United playing at orient that season I've never seen us play utd either. Although I did post a video of the big match I think it was earlier this season and Brian Moore spoke about the trouble their fans made and both the damage and fighting they caused that day. |

I thought Fitzpatrick and Charlton were playing but I must have the wrong match they must of played another match at orient
I remember man United were relegated one year maybe orient played them in that season in second division - never forgot Fitzpatrick and Charlton

OK, my mistake. 2-2 from memory but it fades. Again from memory I think Liverpool at home was the last home game we played in division 1. A 2-1 win for us. A good Merseyside double having beat eventual champions Everton 3-0 at home. Added to the 1-0 win at home to Man Utd, three decent wins that season. Trouble is not enough of them. But I really enjoyed that season and saw every home game bar 1 and a smattering away games too. |
