England cricket fits the description! And then some. My Nephew is in India watching the game. Long way to go to see that!

If it is cricket then I think we are a work in progress. We are trying to revolutionise test cricket and hope that that change in tactics will keep the test game alive, make it more entertaining, mask a few technical weaknesses created by t20 slogging, keep the opposition guessing, etc, etc. i haven't enjoyed the result on this tour but think we will come back stronger with what we have learnt.

I still expected a little better, despite our lack of quality.

My nephew put a few pictures on Facebook. Seemed a pretty empty stadium.

Sir Geoff has, many times. But then the insults flood in about him.Amazing that our test venues are sold out well in advance.Cricket fans in this country just love test match cricket and the revenue keeps the counties afloat Despite that, the England and Wales cricket board see that and county cricket as the poor relation to the hideous 100 and other white ball cricket.

Our game tonight competes quite well for the woeful headline.

I did not attend or buy the stream dohnut, but was pleased we did not lose.I wonder who we are scouting as the new tap in striker.Imagine all our best players signing again and those that are injured being fully fit.I think I would wager £50 on a top two finish if not play off promotion.

Looking at likely league 1 next year I’d say top 2 is a stretch. But playoffs are a definite possibility assuming some decent additions in tne summer and retaining some of our team currently at the end of contract.

Without knowing what will transpire in the summer transfer wise it’s anyone’s guess how the O’s perform next season. Even without the catalogue of injuries that have beset the team I think it’s clear that the best we could have achieved with our current playing staff this season would have been a play off place. As that’s almost certainly out of reach now then there is time to reflect and assess strengths and weaknesses before Ling & Co have to start putting the various pieces in place. All we can hope is that RW is given the resources to get his preferred players sooner rather than later during the window.
