I might be being a tad over optimistic here but let me dream.
Our remaining games are: Port vale (H) Stevenage (A) Lincoln (A) Peterborough (H) Cheltenham (H) Derby (A) Fleetwood (H) Shrewsbury (A)
We should see around 17/20 points here if we return to our good form. Stevenage I can see an away win which will give us a massive push for it. Just need some results to go our way and inshallah we can reach it

Very optimistic. Our form is one thing but more important is the form of others in contention. Playoffs are not in our hands but reliant on the poor form of others. Stevenage, Oxford, Lincoln and Blackpool must all simultaneously hit a real poor run of form whilst we hit a real good run. Possible, of course. But highly unlikely.
Recent results vs Burton and Bristol all but sealed our fate. Today was the final nail.
But that should not detract from what has been a good season and importantly show that next season we are in with a real shout. No need to be down hearted at all.

I think we will need a minimum of 22 points from the remaining 9 games to finish in a play off position and there's some really tough games in there, personally I think if we can maintain 10th place or better that imo is a successful first season back in League One.

Injuries up front to IMO our two best attacking players Graham and Agyei who have both been out practically all season will stop us from finishing in the playoffs.Next season will be a completely different ball game I've seen enough of us this season to be to think we'll definitely be there or there about

Stevenage fixtures
Peterbourgh (A) Os (H) Carlisle (A) Bolton (H) Charlton (A) Exeter (A) Barnsley (H) Burton (H) Oxford (A) Cheltenham (A)
I see them only getting 10 points here
Lincoln Fixtures
Cambridge (A) Bristol (H) Oxford United (A) Os (H) Carlisle (A) Reading (A) Wigan (H) Cheltenham (A) Portsmouth (H)
I see them getting 12 points here
Oxford fixtures
Bolton (A) Vale (A) Lincoln (H) Shrewsbury (A) Fleetwood (H) Burton (A) Peterbourgh (H) Stevenage (H) Exeter (A)
I see them getting around 10/12 here
Blackpool fixtures
Northampton (A) Wigan (A) Derby (A) Wycombe (H) Cambridge (H) Fleetwood (H) Carlisle (A) Barnsley (H) Reading (A)
Again i see around 12 /13 points
I have much faith with our fixtures we will finish above these teams, I say all this then we will lose to Stevenage ending our season

If by some amazing miracle we finish in the play off places and gain promotion, we'll come straight back down with a record breaking minimum number of points, so I would just like a mid table finish.
Next season is another story

It's not even worth thinking we stand a chance of making the playoffs now. We stood an outside chance when we were winning games, now we look tired and our goal threat having evaporated, the odds are well stacked against us.
Time to just get through this season, hope for a top half finish and be chuffed that considering we were struggling to come to terms with league 1 football, having a young squad and injuries that has ravaged through our front line, how well we've actually done to even be thinking about Play Offs.

27 points to play for Other teams are tired / suspensions / injuries/ managerial changes with failed aspirations.
Until it’s mathematically impossible to achieve play offs I don’t want to read anymore negativity please- except the usual forum ones which we all know.. Why do you think some countries that are not British continually out perform the British it’s related to not using every excuse available to justify a loss - winning mentality.

I second that. A case of “ what might have been” .😕 I sooner think “what can be”. When our key players are back and with a summers recruitment it’s going to be fun.

Some of our key players do unfortunately have a chequered past in respect of fitness so placing too much reliance on certain individuals may be a bit risky. I hope that lessons have been learnt in respect of getting business done promptly during the summer rather than bringing people who have not had a full pre- season late in the day. If so, then with a decent budget at his disposal RW may be able to steer the team to the playoffs. We can but hope!👍
