He was doing what looked like a fitness test on the pitch prior to the last home game with a backroom person monitoring what he was doing and timing it.

Is he not out on loan or has that finished now . He has looked quite decent when he was younger .

He was on a 28-day loan to Aveley but that was in December.

This is where our lack of an Under-21s team hurts us. Pegrum is likely too advanced to still be playing Under-18s, but that's where he was on Saturday. Personally feel he needs to bulk up a bit. He's competing against much bigger guys in Khayon Edwards and Joe Pigott.

Neither of the two loan players signed in January have impressed me at all tbh.

These youngsters can show poor form, then they get used to the situation and their best form starts.Shaq Forde is a good example.

Not sure it’s a question of “ poor form”, more a case of not yet ready imho.

But earlier this season I said Shaq wasn't ready and he wasn't but he is now, time is of the essence and he has grown rather nicely, hopefully the other two will as well in time.

Given the injuries, missing out on the “ senior striker” and the time frame, I guess the signings were a necessary gamble but - in my opinion- it hasn’t paid off.

It does because we can let them go.The bonus is that when they hit form we benefit. Some complained about Harry Kane when he was on loan. The wrong side of the season for a longer term assessment, that makes it more urgent they hit top form after two or three games. What I would like is Joe Pigott hitting his best form, for his confidence and what it would bring the club.

The downside is if they don’t hit form then we don’t benefit!😆 No issue with the principle but in this specific instance, it just hasn’t happened . Not apportioning blame but simply stating the obvious. I do agree with you re Pigott however. It would be good for everyone if he can hit some decent form.
