It will be interesting to see how these two match up tonight and may possibly gives RW some clues as to how we might approach Saturdays game against Stevenage. Hopefully he will also have learnt some lessons from his previous, unsuccessful meetings with Evans over the last 15 months or so. Based upon last night’s performance it is likely to be a pretty tough gig at the weekend I should think. 🤔

It doesn’t matter how Stevenage play tonight,I still think we’ll get pummelled on Saturday. We won’t be able to cope with their bombardment all over the pitch..I have my ticket and anything less than a 3-0 beating will be a bonus..

I'm watching the game.
Hector got a special mention as a promising young player.
I saw a quick glimpse of some stats they flashed up on screen. It showed stats for clubs in L1 this season. Stats like possession, passing accuracy, etc.. Posh were placed 1st for a few of them where Sage were placed around 22nd. I'm shocked considering their league position.
Evens is serving the 2nd of a 3 match ban. That makes him missing our game against them.
I'm noticing Sage don't waste any time getting the ball into the box. Whereas we pass it about, they launch the ball in and get a shot off.
Sage are pressing high. Something we need to bear in mind if we choose to dick about at the back on Saturday.

They are generally second best in the stats yet the only stat that matters, more goals than the opposition, they do well. When they get the ball they don’t dick about, just attack the box. Not looking forward to that for sure. Night mare last time there.

Posh 1 up , Kyprianou 10th booking of the season and misses next 2 games , does that mean Galbraith misses Saturday as he had 10 bookings when he got the yellow at Bristol 🤔

We can bypass their press quite easily. They spread the 3 center halves wide of each other which allows the wing backs to press high safe in the knowledge there's a centre half to back them up. We need to play into the space they leave behind quickly and then find the spaces between the centre halves. Playing slowly won't work, it has to be quick, no use playing long either as we don't have forwards who can win headers and they have players who love to head it! The ball has to move quickly on the floor, exploit the space left behind and shift it quickly after that which will hopefully give us opportunities to create chances and or get us into shooting positions.
Movement and pace will hurt them.

Posh worthy winners although the score line flattered them somewhat. Until the penalty little doubt that Stevenage were the better outfit. Fortunate that RW didn’t get another spell on the sidelines or he might have ended up sitting next to Evans on Saturday as he’s also currently consigned to the stands by the FA!😄😄

No good sending long balls in the air they will be eaten up by their backs. The biggest problem will be dealing with Carl P their no 5 in set plays and throw ons. He wins so many balls in the air with flick ons to the back post where Reid is waiting. In the past we don’t know how to deal with him. He probably will score against us again
