Was sat in JE yesterday, near the TJ stand. Usually sit elsewhere. On my life, ive never sat in front of such a bunch of moaners in all my life. Dropping the c bomb every 30 seconds, telling Wellens that Beckles is crap, slow and needed bringing off inside the first 5 minutes. Everything was crap, everyone in red was a c@@t. It was painful to sit there and listen to them.
Anyway, it was nice to meet Donut and his fam 😀
Only joking, donut! Not joking about the moaners behind me though. One of them sounded like Bricktop.

Joking apart I dislike this behaviour with a passion. Was at an away game with mrs Doh and one shirt less overweight moron was using disgusting language the whole game.
Orient like other clubs have their share of this type of idiot. One sits close to us in the East. And old enough to know better too.

I hate to say it but you have to admire Southends fans ,mid table ,more or less bankrupt ,cold rainy Rootes Hall and still 5200 to watch them 😀 No lover of Southend but given their financial troubles, player embargo, loss of players leaving then with a squad of 13 available and a ten point deduction their current league position, outside chance of playoffs, is nothing short of exceptional and their fan base have stuck with them through all of this. |

Our case was also exceptional and remains that way to this day, We were fortunate to start our life in the National league with solid owners, financials under control, an experienced DoF, a decent if hastily put together squad and without a 10 point deduction. Not to mention after a dodgy start the appointment of an exceptional manager who took much the same squad to promotion the following season. What they have achieved is quite remarkable given the issues they have faced this season. For many game they operated with two substitutes and one of those a young kid who had a dual contract with a smaller club. That squad not only fulfilled league games but cup games too. Yet despite all this, the protests, the buy out, court cases etc, etc, remain within shouting distance of the playoffs. Love em or hate em, you have to admire them and their fans. |

I dont shout and moan and I never swear at football matches. Never see the point. Its all a bit panto for me when people start doing that sort of thing. I love lofc but the rest of football now leaves me a bit cold. Prem league tickets are so obscenely priced. They see fans as just cash cows, constantly. Id rather go to the Opera for that kind of money.

That's what we all want to know! My nephew was a long standing shrimper season ticket holder and was very active in trying to resolve their issues via a fans group. Not too dissimilar to what happened with us in fact. Good, honest, decent, passionate, match going supporter. Hence my close interest in what they do. And my admiration of what they have achieved against stiff odds. I’m an Orient supporter but also a football supporter. Whilst it’s always good fun to have a laugh at opposing teams, as some did at our expense when we went down to the NL. What I’ve discovered over the years is that every club has its idiots and every club has its decent passionate supporters that ain’t much different to us. Despite the rhetoric we are not unique nor special other than to us. So whilst I expect Southend have their share of idiots who mouth off, as we do, in this particular instance this moron appears to support Orient. |
