Is being usurped, bit by bit, by the rising influence of "AI speak" which takes it's cues from the most extreme marketing ideas ever to have oozed from modern universities. This appeared in my email today ...

Hyperbole rules(sounds like a Greek Hero).AI is a dreadful thing if the programmer has an ideology.Needs To be stopped or stated it is AI.

I was recalling just the other day when smoking was still permitted on London Transport buses, including single deckers. Back in the sixties the notice read "Smokers are requested to occupy rear seats". Come the seventies it became "Smokers are asked to sit at the back"!
