They were miles ahead of league two around Xmas now they're 3rd in the league and losing 2-0 tonight against Salford.I like their manager Dave Challinor and thought they'd win the playoffs last season. He will be under a lot of pressure I'd imagine if they don't get promoted

I'm watching the game. I've not followed L2 football this season but assuming tonight's match is an equivalent standard to L2 last season, then we have improved greatly to last season. Even with our tired, depleted squad, we would play rings around these teams. If Stockport go up the they'll need to invest. My 2p.
2-2 now btw.

Thought they were the best team in the league last season but for taking 2 or 3 months to get going. Wasn't the least bit surprised to see them top the table this time around.
Don't know the particulars, but they had 8 games in December, only 3 in Jan, then seem to have stuttered in Feb. It's reductive, I know, but a superficial reading suggests they could've got slammed with injuries over too many games, lost momentum from not enough, or a bit of both.
They're only 2 pts off top with a game in hand, but Mansfield (another team that looked class last season) are flying atm.

Stockport probably on par with Leyton Orient with the teams that surround them.

None of the top 3 are on a particularly good run of form atm. Stockport do have a game in hand though.
