He claims their goal should have stood. Said they were too flat first half and dominated the 2nd. Instead of 4 subs at half time he'd have made 9 or 10. Says he's done with refs as he's lost all faith in them! He's always moaning about refs! Says if he did what Richie did he'd be banned from the stadium let alone get a letter from the FA!
What is he on?

I couldn't understand half of what he was saying, looking at the floor for most of the interview.

Never seen an interview when stevenage have lost that Evans doesn't blame the referee. He tries to intimidate officials in his pre match interviews aswell saying things like it would be nice if we get penalties but we don't because we are stevenage and ghey don't want us to get promoted.Well you know what Evans you're a dinosaur mate your brand of 1980s football and your two bob club belong in the national league

Do you remember that song… “If ever you see a wobbly man, push him as hard as ever you can, because its fun to see him go…..

Listened to it twice last night on YouTube, reallly struggled to work out what he was saying. His criticism of match officials is now routine. The guy just rolls out the excuses. I would not want to watch his style of football that often. He’s good at what he does but it still remains unattractive. Stevenage play ugly football, they work hard on intimidation and much of it off the ball so the officials don’t pick up on it.Not for me.
As for the handball! I had a clear view of the incident and for a few seconds thought the goal was being allowed, now that angered me but fortunately the infringement was correctly given.
Full mark’s to our team who stood up to the intimidation, fought back against a style which is alien to the quality of our team and came away with 3 points. Satisfying in the extreme and an enjoyable drive home.

Unfortunately Stevenage haven't the talent that Leeds had back in the day that went with that ugly side of Leeds game.

Im not a fan of his football but theres no arguing he is a successful manager with the right resources. Ive often thought he would have been a success at LOFC if he ever got the gig and we would have loved him. Before anyone shoots me, of course I prefer Wellens and his style of progressive football.

Can someone expain the fracas with Sweeney? What actually happened? I wasn't there but from what I can piece together from videos and postings on social media recollections may vary, from what I gather the Stevenage fans were giving RW abuse all game and on the final whistle as RW was making his way up to the Orient fans there was an exchange between the Stevenage fans and RW what ever was said enraged Sweeney and he went for RW and the two squared up, there then ensued the players from both teams pushing and shoving each other. The Stevenage version of events are totally bent out of shape, they're saying it was all caused by RW pretending to lift an imaginary trophy and that was why Sweeney and RW clashed. There are videos online that show that RW didn't pretend to lift the imaginary trophy until after the incident when he had finally reached the O's fans to celebrate the victory.

This popped up on my YouTube suggested watching. Oh my, here he is absolutely lambasting the ref after the Peterborough game.

Steve Evans routinely blames the ref after every defeat. It's part of his installing the 'Everyone's against us' mantra into his squad, and is how he galvanises his players.
You might not like it (I wouldn't want to watch that every week) but he gets results more often than not with his approach.

Cuthbert Ottaway would not have like it.A Cuthbert Ottaway shield and pennant should be awarded to the fairest team in the PL and the EFL.The fair play pennant could be flown alongside the clubs own flag. Cuthbert Ottaway was the first captain of England and as far as I know it is not named on any trophy.Maybe the best player voted by fans when England play in a tournament could be awarded the Cuthbert Ottaway medal.

You might not like it (I wouldn't want to watch that every week) but he gets results more often than not with his approach. Part of a managers motivational methods include pre and post match talks. They are done not for the benefit of the fans but for the players and the board. So his constant moaning about referees is one of his tools and he uses it to the full. I do have a smile when he talks about respect given some of his past antics. And some of the actions of his players. Pots and kettles. Still, hard to fault results. I sincerely hope they don’t get promoted.
