Well done as usual. One for RW with the change in style, perhaps we will use it a little more when we are getting hustled.Rather see our stylish play though.

If we beat Lincoln amd Peterborough... Sheesssh, it definitely would be game on.
Yes, RW deserves credit for his approach yesterday. He's realised things and corrected it. To be fair, I would've been disappointed if we played our usual style and got thumped again.

Good write up as usual and I was really surprised by our approach. As you say it wasn't pretty but turned out effective and you can't do better than 3 points.

When they realised we were handling their bombardment in first half, they actually played some decent stuff on the ground.. We were at times under pressure from it, but every player stood their ground for the full 90 mins. Prats was in his element in those conditions! Funny thing is Freeman can play as can Thompson and McDonald among others so why they lump it continuously is beyond me.

I think the reason they play as they do is that it is easier when you have a squad of players, to play a style that suits the lowest common denominator. It’s easier to adopt a style that they can all play despite some being quite good. Better players can lump it around and hassle but you can’t get poorer players to play at a better level. If that makes sense. They can change things around with everybody being comfortable with that style. Getting the best out of available talent, Evans is doing just that and effectively. But it’s awful to watch.
It quite often happens the other way round. A manager tries to play a style that the players are just not good enough for. Davies being a prime example. He wanted skilled silky football and it just didn’t suite the skills we had, nearly got us relegated. JE didn’t make that squad better players, just chose a system they were good at.

He was good against us for Salford, he was good last season and he was good again this season. A fully committed player who will fight to the end, he's making the best of his ability of that there is no doubt. I see Terrell is consistently playing well, hope it continues for him.
