Out of Interest....
Where are you based?
How long have you been living abroad (if you are from the UK)?
Why did you leave the UK (if you used to live in the UK)?

Berlin, Germany. Since 2008. Got fired from work so thought why not? Never got around to leaving.
On my first full day here a girl I met took me to Tacheles, a huge squat in a bombed out old mall that was the centre of the city's art scene at the time (sadly no longer exists). We tried to get into an exhibition opening party there but the bloke on the door told us it was invite only. Recognising he was also from London, I struck up a conversation and he asked where I was from. "You're an Os fan then?" he said. "In that case you can come in!"

I live in Simpsonville, South Carolina on the Sugar Tit side of Simpsonville. That is a real place 😇. The city is in the Upstate of South Carolina in the United States. I am an American who has never been to the UK. I am a long time football fan but a newcomer to the Orient for about three years. I found Leyton Orient through a compelling YouTube video from Copa90 stories and have streamed and followed the O’s ever since then. I joined this forum to increase my knowledge of Orient Football and to be amongst other fans, and it has been fun and welcoming from day one and really appreciated.

I live in the Central Highlands of Victoria, about an hour and a half NW of Melbourne in Australia. Emigrated to Australia in 1998 after meeting a cute Australian lass in a pub in Muswell Hill early in that year. Now we have been married 22 years have two teenage girls, and have lived first in Sydney, then Melbourne before moving out to the country and farm life - a long way from where I grew up in Walthamstow! Only been back to the UK twice in the 26 years I have been here, and pleasingly was at the Stockport home game last year to see us lift the Trophy! Never lost the love for the O's and now technology means I am probably more connected than I ever was - only missed one game on the stream this season... Good thread, keen to see how far reaching our fan base is..

I am in the Port Stephens area of New South Wales, Australia. About 3 hours up the coast from Sydney. Left the UK at the start of 2006. Which annoyingly meant I missed us getting promoted that season, after buying season ticket at the start of the year! I remember heading into my office at midnight to use the work internet to steam the radio commentary of the Oxford game. Much easier to follow the Os these days!
How did I end up here? One fateful day really. I turned up on the wrong day for my final exam at uni(!) and then had to wait a year before I could take it again. Rather than waste a year, I decided to go backpacking in Australia. Loved the place, so after going back home to graduate and qualify for a visa, returned and have been here ever since.

For me: Nagoya, Japan Since January 2000 Adventure Can you speak the language? Yes. But it was quite hard to learn and I do not use it for work nor at home. Still, could be better and some of the kanji still confusing.

Good thread, keen to see how far reaching our fan base is.. I know what you mean about the tech. Before I arrived in Japan I travelled for 2 years around the world, I used to call Clubcall and racked up a stupid CC bill. Called once from the Empire State building and while in Kentucky, I heard us score live Vs Rochdale via clubcall lol You've caught more games than me but I must have watched over 30. Will be glad when the clocks go back and kickoffs are earlier at 11PM. I did manage to watch us once live this season and as bad luck would have it, that was in the FA cup away vs Chesterfield. Probably the worst game this season.
