I was just wondering how this works and was also wondering whether if they'd be any appetite for maybe all or a large majority of members of this forum to club together and sponsor one of our players for next season.I don't know how it could be done maybe a small payment every month depending on the cost.Its something I've thought about over the years but always thought i couldn't afford it.Just thought it would be a nice idea what do others think

Have you considered as a group sponsor say the disabled and or elderly supporter who cannot get to a match on their own: or cannot afford a seat

Not the same thing but kinda looking in a similar direction. We at lofcwomen.com are kit sponsors for the women's team goalie Lola Durayaiye. She doesn't get anything, the money goes to help pay for the costs of running teams in FA affiliated leagues. We may step it up a bit next season ... Even better if folks here would like to join in. It starts at about £100 per year per player.
