I’d expect Obiero to be at least on the bench.

I was surprised by Sweeney’s omission, but like he said I’m here to make the tough decisions.
Pleased for Zach Obierio who I felt showed a maturity beyond his league experience. Hopefully he can build on this and grow into this level.

I think our Mr Wellens feels he has outgrown little Leyton Orient. You would think we had lost the game. I didn't like his post match interview at all. He has been great for us, but his constant bleating is irritating. No credit given for the goals we scored. I wouldn't be surprised or upset if he left and I've been a fan. Little Leyton Orient will be here next season

Surprised by the criticism of Ruel tbh. Thought he did very well off the right today and deserved his goal. Could've had another one and a couple of assists too. One of the best full 90s I can remember him having.

But he is right in what he’s saying.

RW is a winner and we're not used to that at the O's. He sets tough standards for players but it's in their own best interest. When we were in the National League some of us doubted that Ruel would make it in League 2. Now he's scoring goals at the top end of League 1, and RW believes he can get still better if he puts in the hard work.

But he is right in what he’s saying. But he doesn't have to say it in public or in front of the cameras . Yes ,he does bleat a lot .

Yeah, Richie did appear to be in a sour mood....Interesting lets hope this does not foretell a post season move to a bigger northern club..

I wouldn’t read too much into it. He’s been like that since day one. Talks about being positive but frequently complaining and criticising in interviews. After two and a bit years I’m used to his ‘ways’ now. Obviously his record here speaks for itself and I’d rather a manager who knows what they’re doing even if their interviews grate with me occasionally, than a no hoper who just talked a good game. I do worry that things could get pretty fractious pretty quickly if we have a bad season though. Hopefully it doesn’t come to that.

This is his character. Its part of a package of things that makes him a winner. He wont be here forever. Enjoy him while he is and pay respects to the system and the team that brought him here because they will be.

One of the best full 90s I can remember him having. But he is right. Ruel is a very good player and has done well. But he has the potential to much better. Yesterday was classic Ruel, modest performance and a great goal. His trademark. When the goals don’t happen, he frequently offers little to the team. He could be so much more. But he’s had a decent first season in league 1.

We are nearly over he line with his new contract, for me the quicker the better it happens as it will help to attract players who will have a certainly of manager. Apparently he will then move his family down and live “down south” showing a true commitment to the club. I get what dubioushubris is saying, but it’s just him and I personally wouldn’t change him in any way shape or form. It’s like that advert “it does what it says on the tin”

I love it from Ritchie. He is a winner and demands high standards. He is a true keeper of the faith and not a bedwetter

He is honest and straightforward in his interviews. He also quite technical and doesn't talk down to the listener. He obviously ikes Ruel and thinks he could play at the next level up, which he will need to if there is to be a genuine promotion push. Maybe he's a player who needs to be geed up. His attitude to Brynn was different. Again he obviously has faith in him, but because of a couple of mistakes recently he made his support very clear. He also pointed out this is a young goalkeeper. It made me think he will be offered another year if he wants it. Personally I would be glad of that.
I also think the squad is already good enough for a top six place next season if it has enough luck with injuries. It would help if RW stays (sounds like he intends to) but if not the structure and organisation is good enough to overcome his departure. It's a young squad, as RW pointed out, and you would expect it to get better.
It's been a good couple of seasons. Can't wait for the next one.

Richie has made it clear countless times about how he doesn’t like games with little riding on them. As he said pre season starts now and he can’t get excited about that sort of game.
