Exeter were by far the better of the two teams in the second half but being two up we simply didn’t play properly against 10 men. Everything was coming down our left side even before Cooper was taken off - it was obvious and it wasn’t countered . Disappointing but Exeter deserved their point.

Poor Jayden, having to face Rankin and Wunderkid Richards, Very difficult for him to demonstrate he's at EFL1 standard. Based on that showing,I suppose some might argue that Sweeney has just demonstrated whether or not he’s at EFL1 standard?🤔

When Cooper went off, we played like it was 6 versus 11, not 10 verses 11 which it was. No one stayed up the pitch, to help relieve the pressure, so it was non stop pressure We caved in badly, IMO

Grecians had 16 shots on goal to our 2! 62% of the ball and 11 corners... That last 15 was hard to watch...We were gutless when Cooper went off. On plus side, Oberio looks very promising, Simpson too.. Fear for Saturday, reckon we will lose that, beat Fleetwood and draw at Shrews

Trying to go forward we did..Ok eca,question..Why do we struggle when we play against 10 men? Best ask RW From my observation on previous matches, we do not move the ball quick enough - but I am not a FA badged coach.

RW will have plenty of ammo regarding people looking for a contract. Richie made our 5th sub on the 66th minute. He knows the risks of that. This game was solely about giving people minutes and avoiding injuries the best we can. It was the same with the last two games and will be the same with the next three. Defending from the front is all well and good but when you're a man down you have to do it differently and we can't. That's on him. Next season we need to get better at that. We need to get better at attacking 10 men too. No point getting upset about this. There's nothing to play for but pride, and pride ain't worth players not being available at the start of next season cos they tore a hammy chasing a ball that would amount to bugger all.

It has been a problem that both RW and supporters have commented upon on numerous occasions.

Based on that showing,I suppose some might argue that Sweeney has just demonstrated whether or not he’s at EFL1 standard?🤔 It's a low bar but thought he was arguably our best player in the second half, especially given the pressure he was under. Presumably told not to go forward so much with the lead we had and defended pretty well. Amazed their winger didn't get a card for that obvious pull back when Sweens went past him. Watched the second half on my tiny phone screen (and mostly on mute) so hard to tell what the CBs were after Cooper went off. I guess James? Hardly the guy you want dealing with a barrage of crosses. Thought Sol looked very heavy on his feet for their first goal, but probably looked worse in the slow mo.

This IMO is why we need Pratley for another season. He would have been perfect out there tonight in the last twenty minutes. We don't have anyone like him to do the dirty stuff unless wd sign someone similar

I will add that both goals came from the opposite side though, despite Sweens apparently bring targeted for much of the game.

Good point. Disappointing to lose a two goal lead but a great goal from ONeillll and some very promising performances.
We go again, keep the faith ✊️

Only caught the 2nd half, so can’t comment on the first. But honestly I thought we were cruising at 11 vs 11. Exeter had a lot of the ball but we’re doing nothing with it. We had one chance and took it. usually it’s us doing nothing with the ball and then conceding, so made a nice change that.
Of course, we absolutely just fell apart when we went down to 10. Don’t know if it’s just late season tiredness or whatever, but wasn’t good to see.
Positives are that Simpson looked good, I hope he’s here next season. More minutes for Obiero too. And Agyei was again lively after coming on. Imagine if we’d had him fit all season!

You'd think we'd have one player forward a bit. We have literally invited them to attack us.. Yet when teams go down to 10 against us we are the ones who goes to pot.sorry but this this is b******* I’ve just got home and am reading this thread. I said to my wife when it went 2-1 when we play against ten men we never seem to take advantage of the extra man. We go down to ten men and we are absolutely clueless on what needs to be done and how. That was embarrassing. Still as bad as our ten men were, wtf was RW doing going to a three at the back just to squeeze James on who has been s*** for quite a few games now. That’s when we lost the plot as we basically surrendered the space in midfield and granted them the space out wide, it was a shocking tactical decision. That to me cost us three points tonight as we were cruising and not even out of second gear against a second rate team. I thought Simpson is shaping up nicely and will be a bloody good addition to the team.
