Will be great to hear the opinions of Neville, Carragher and Roy Keane as they analyse Orient’s defending v Barrow😁 More likely to be Jobi McAnuff, but if they are covering that many games, likely to be some other ex-Os as pundits/co-commentators.

Hope my mate can still get the away games on his Firestick 🤔 If he is doing that unfairly, by not paying to watch, I hope he gets no games at all.

Don’t think that statement is all true. Over the season Sky will show around 248 League 1 games throughout the season .Each weekend they will show 5 games live. These will be spread over the weekend but will not be shown at 3 pm on Saturday. The 5 games will either be shown on Friday evening Saturday at 12.30 or 5 .30 Sunday or Monday. Sky will also show 5 L2 games each week

The bigger or more glamorous league 1 sides will feature more, those coming down and no doubt Wrexham coming up. For us it will be a couple of times a month at best is my guess. The Championship will get the lions share of the coverage and the money. I hope the deal is financially good for the club.

I wonder if as well as the contract fee the clubs involved will get a live game fee.

Does concern me that the large quantity of games combined with the likelihood of an increasing number of lunch time kick offs will have a detrimental effect on overall attendances. However we will have to wait and see what happens I guess.🤔

A 5.30 kick off on Saturday in winter will not go down well in the redshank household.Let alone 7.45.If it brings money to our club so be it,but it could be my last season as a seasoncard holder.

A 5.30 kick off on Saturday in winter will not go down well in the redshank household.Let alone 7.45.If it brings money to our club so be it,but it could be my last season as a seasoncard holder. Apparently they will be on a new channel Sky Sports+ www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/13131189/sky-sports-launches-in-august-to-give-more-choice-to-fans-via-live-streams-app-and-new-channelA lot of the televised games will be midweek and on Saturdays when there are no Premier League games. Had it been in place on the season just finished, Orient had about 20 games that were played midweek including public holidays, on international break Saturdays, FA Cup Saturdays, and first/last game of season. So the likely impact will be near zero. One thing that isn’t clear is whether or not this will be on platforms like Virgin Media. I suspect it will be, but if not I will have to revert to Now TV.

So, as I understand it, for UK viewers, if you have a Sky TV subscription with the Sky Sports package, you will automatically get the new Sky Sports+ channel, which will include all of the EFL games they choose to broadcast. If you do not have a Sky subscription, you can buy a day pass or a month pass on the Now app, which you can use on your mobile device or on a smart TV. The day pass costs £14.99, so £4.99 more than the previous £10 iFollow pass, but the broadcast experience is supposed to be better with more cameras (including one in the North Stand where they booted about 20 season ticket holders out of their seats), and you do get the ability to watch all of the other streamed content that Sky has that day. The monthly pass is £34.99, discounted to £26/month if you sign up for six months. Pricing details are here-- www.nowtv.com/sports-purchaseWe'll have to see just how much this impacts Leyton Orient matchdays. As @argee notes above, the 20+ matches that each team will be featured on broadcasts include all midweek games. It also includes the EFL Trophy, so all three group stage games of that will be on Sky, plus however many Carabao Cup matches we are involved in. That should mean, in theory, that only a handful of our Saturday league matches will be affected with potential moving of kickoff times. But let's see how it shakes out when the fixtures list is announced in June.

But it boils down to how many Orient games are shown, I’ve little interest in watching Wrexham vs Birmingham etc. so if we figure just twice a month then it’s not great value.

It is worth noting that Now TV has email offers of £20/month or £15/month at start of season, so it would be far cheaper than iFollow. Due to my recent negotiation with Virgin, I am paying £7.25/month for Sky Sports until end of next season, however have to wait and see if Sky Sports+ is part of it. I expect around a dozen or so away games that I would not attend, so in addition to the other broadcast sports, I am looking forward to this bonus.

Likely to be 25 games from August to April, so about three per month. Most will be concentrated around Christmas and Easter, so might be worth just getting a month as and when required. There is plenty of other sport. I would get Sports on Now TV for December as it's better than watching The Sound of Music and The Great Escape again. Can always cancel it once Os games are no longer broadcast having won the League One title 😊
