I’m genuinely curious about things the club does to get kids excited to come to the games and especially excited to come back. I know board member Nick Semaca is an owner of a minor league baseball club in the US, and I am sure he understands the importance of getting kids more interested in the club and the park. The minor league teams work hard and creatively to make a park as kid friendly as possible. Last night, we attended our local team’s game and our kids had a great time regardless of whether they were into sitting and taking in a game of baseball. It was bring your dog night at the park, and the club also had tons of in between innings contests like hula hoop toss, kid friendly trivia, sing alongs (as per Red Sox tradition), and Heaven of Heaven in their minds the kids got to run the bases on a real professional and immaculate baseball diamond. Although my kids are very into football, two of them were out after dark in our back yard playing baseball, and one went to sleep with his Greenville Drive cap on. Leyton Orient is certainly not minor league I know. The minor league teams here have a lot of freedom to do some pretty interesting things that the major do not have to do. I’m a streamer and a far away fan, so I have not been to Brisbane Road yet, and I also have not seen discussion on this forum about getting kids interested, so I though I would ask. What does the club do to get the kids who aren’t super in to football to want to come back to Brisbane Road? Love the idea of bring a dog night. We might be able to outsing the opposition fans for a change.

Give me a modern ground and decent facilities every time. It’s the way forward. At some point we will do the same. Brisbane Road offers a poor match day experience. The club try their best, fair play, but it’s poor. A venue best suited to the past and not the future. I don't think it offers a poor match day experience. We're close to the pitch, there's not too many swanky rich people dribbling from their personal guest boxes, there's a decent closeness about the crowd and with the pitch. Wouldn't a modern ground and probably ("probably") higher prices be too much for some of our loyal supporters who wouldn't be able to afford it? I suppose there can be some improvements though I can't think of too many. Went to the Reading away game. I’d swap. Excellent view, decent facilities, like refreshments and toilets, comfortable seating. Price-wise not too sure it’s more expensive. In the East this season and it’s pretty poor, especially the toilet facilities. I make sure I use the ones in ASDA so at least Mrs doh and I can use facilities that are not so disgusting. As for price, the beer via the new app facility is ridiculous. Loaded the app, went to buy, deleted the app. Would use the SC but can’t get to the bar, queues 5 deep now crowds are better. Dont know what the West was like this season. Last term The TV stuck in the corner, condiments disgusting and conditions cramped. Toilets marginally better but smelly. What you describe is the Emirates and I’ve spoken with Gunners fans who’ve said much the same as you with corporate people mixing with the genuine fans. Brisbane Road is not a great experience and is unlikely to attract modern day fans who want more. Us regulars put up with it because we support the club. But frankly the sooner finance can be found and the club move away, the better. Not fit for purpose any more.

Imagine how many would come should we have a bigger, better ground! I guess that is why the board continue to look at options. They are not doing that just for the hell of it. They are doing it because of growth potential. And we all know current facilities are poor, fair play to the board who do their best to improve the matchday experience. But even NT has commented on the need for fans to buy inside the ground rather than outside. Why is that! My guess is people put up with poor facilities because the team are doing well. But the facilities don’t generate income. I’ve yet to see the ground full, always empty seats. But that’s another issue.

I don't go to Brisbane Road to be entertained either pre match or half time --- or indeed during the 90+ mins. The Derby thing was ok - but didnt they bang on about it - anyone would have thought it was the centre of the universe - You can't take any club seriously whose fans fight outside a Harvester

Police keeping fans apart. All clubs have their idiots, us included. Thankfully no longer as bad as it once was. I’ve seen some terrible sights over the years, including at Brisbane Road.

The worst for me was when Orient played Birmingham with many Millwall fans in the crowd who wanted Orient to win to be promoted at the expense of Birmingham.Plus Aston Villa whose fans beat my friend up who wouldn't hurt a fly.I wrote to the Villa chairman of that time,he did write back but all he said was that he has never heard of this before from Villa fans.

Was at that game, My father and I took my Nephew to the game as his baptism for football, not understanding the importance of the match. The gate in the East Stand broke down as people climbed over it to get in, as it broke we picked him up and ran with the crowd to make sure we were not bowled over in the crush, Millwall fans on the pitch trying to get the game called off, the bomb scare later, the Club telling us to get on the pitch and out of the stand as well, all in all an eventful game, good thing about it Millwall didn't get promotion.

Was there too, always wondered exactly how many people were in the ground that game. Some baptism for sure. Been some interesting moments at Brisbane Road over the years.
