Bit of fishing and maybe watching Bexley CC helps me through Sound ideal bigron, with the river or lake keeping the beers cool.Happy days. I don't drink when I go fishing , I might have a couple of pints ( Birra Morretti ) when I'm at the cricket , Crickets ground is about 5 minutes walk from Bexley station , it's a decent class , ( Kent premier league ) has a pavilion/clubhouse and is free to watch 👍👍

I used to live near to that cricket ground from 1963 to 1964, when Loughton was still a civilised country town. In the High Road in a flat above a dry cleaners near the junction with Traps Hill

I just love Loughton,I call it hometown. I was in Loughton today, parked in the Uplands to go to Warriners to discus my brothers funeral at ST John's church. So many memories of the friends of my childhood.

So many tiers in the pyramid, all worth watching.I saw a match in Dubrovnik then Yugoslavia(?) in 1973,a local affair.A Very enjoyable match with a lot of good humoured jeering of the players.Somewhere in my house I still have the ticket,I will tell fisch what the ticket revealed if I find it. Apart from the beautiful City of Dubrovnik and the rugged coastline a great memory of that October Holiday.

We even have a team in Istria called "Orijent", which is the Slavic version of Orient. They are aware of us.

Would be a fun pre season tournament with four clubs with Orient in their name,I can think of FC Lorient.Need one more team and a sponsor.Perhaps P&O,. Peninsular and Orient steam navigation company,at least it was when I was working on the SS Orcades.Or was it?

Do you enjoy the closed season or are you a "cannot wait" person.I am pleased when the seasons ends as the Saturday worry will not be with me until next August. Is there a close season anymore? Premier League and play offs still happening, UEFA finals at end of month and then Euros in June/July. Before you know it, it’s August and season is starting. Also I have GAA to follow in the summer, so spectator sport in one form or another is continuous. Hoping to see England v Sri Lanka at Lord’s, though it will have to go to a fifth day as I am not spending £100 plus. My European Rugby Champions Cup Final ticket in 10 days time was "only" £93. Luckily I wasn’t successful in the Champions League ballot, as that would have been over £1000 for my son and I to attend. Also hoping to attend a day or two at a music festival. suede at Audley End looks likely as I have somehow got roped into doing something else on Sunday 26 May when The Stranglers are playing Stone Valley South. Some other gigs including Bernard Butler in Stoke Newington.
