What players are the Mighty O's likely to lose in pre season. Obviously there's the loans going back to parent clubs but what out or contract players will leave/ what players may be sold?
For sure Ad Thompson will go. Don't think Idris will be back either (please be wrong on this)

Contracts expiring this summer:
Pratley Archibald James Hunt Simpson Happe Sotiriou
Happe and Simpson are probably the obvious ones who could get more money elsewhere. Could be a tough window if they both go.
Can imagine Ruel might consider leaving if we're shopping for another 9.

If I were a player I’d like to know who I’m playing for. The longer it takes RW to sign a deal, the more I’d be looking around at other options.

Thought his current contract ran till June 2025. So another year to go unless he invokes a get out clause. So no rush.

No he’s under contract for another year, the one of offer is longer and I would have thought more money. There maybe some clauses in there that are being discussed for example, RW has final say on all transfers, I don’t if that is one I’m just giving an example.

The ball is in play, Richie has mentioned it, Kent and Nigel have mentioned it, so if new terms are not agreed and quickly, (which I am sure will also involve extending his contract term), then it puts doubt in a players mind.

RW stock may rise or fall dependant on results. The owners hold the purse strings. What is a contract worth these days anyway. Look at Evans at Stevenage if true, signs a new contract then Rotherham come calling. He ups sticks and off he waddles.

Given new players are signing 2/3 year deals that’s a reasonable observation. Though in the football business, contracts or not, things change rapidly. But RW on an extended contract won’t do any harm and shows ambition and stability as far as you can in this crazy world.

Whilst its a blow for the club they may use that money to get someone else out of a contract.

Most players whose contracts are expiring in June will have had lots of contact with their agents for many weeks. We can only shop a few floors above the bargain basement.

Let's hope who ever is in charge of recruitment looks into the players medical history. Using Racing parlance better to have stayers rather than highly strung sprinters who are prone to muscle injuries. The turn over of players in the EFL would I hope throw up some useful additions that are within O's budget.

Back in January Wellens, in a podcast, said contracts had been offered to Happe, Hunt and Sotiriou.

I was told that Archibald will be given a years contract to see how he recovers.
