Final league Table 2006 - 07 Season, the first Season in League One after being promoted the season before. Was this a tougher season than the one we've just completed?

Didn’t lingy get the sack just before the end of the season? New manager bounce kept us up.

Didn’t lingy get the sack just before the end of the season? New manager bounce kept us up. No, we beat Bradford away securing safety with a couple of games to spare. 2007 - 08 we finished 14th. Lingy and Dean Smith were sacked in the January of the 2008 -09 Season when we were 21st in the League. Geraint Williams took charge in the February, we won 7 of his first 9 games in charge and eventually finished 14th again.

Junior Agogo brace I think.

Firmly believe that the away win at Forest was the turning point of the 06/07 season.

I'd completely forgotten that Brentford were relegated in 2007. Followed by a gradual rise to the Championship - was it Dean Smith who got them promoted?

The goals for column wasn't too shabby when you look at it. Bristol came second scoring only 2 more than we did. However, out inability to keep them out ultimately coat us dearly.
Still that side of Lings was decent and laid the foundations for the continued improvements all the way to Slades team who lost on pens at Wembley. We won't speak about what happened afterwards.

Firmly believe that the away win at Forest was the turning point of the 06/07 season. Indeed, then later in the season we put 5 past Millwall at the Den, a very enjoyable match.
