I have received a message from BasO, I won't go into details as I will let him speak for himself. What I can say he is OK and hopes to be back posting within a month.
I and I'm sure others will be heartened by that.

It'll be good to have him back on here. He was showing signs of distress, glad to hear he's OK.

Thanks for your concerns.
Hands are a bit shaky at the moment so I'll keep this brief.
999 to Southend hospital Induced coma, intubated for nearly 5 days Rehab centre Got worse Basildon hospital Back to rehab centre I couldn't talk for a while Lost a lot of weight Lost strength, couldn't lift my limbs up Now back in rehab learning to walk again Kept positive all the way through I feel like I'm reborn now.

Collectively, we all feared you'd suffered some kind of dramatic event, how can we help?

Bas, I’m very glad to see you posting and I am sorry that you’ve gone through so much. As I told the others on the forum, you are a big part of the fun for me on this forum. I hope you have a speedy recovery.

Since Jan I've had 2 CT brain scans, 2 chest x-ray's, a stomach x-ray and a stomach ultrasound. My rehab is a private room with a TV. Nice place and staff.
I'm alright, as soon as I can walk again I'll be going home.

When I was in Southend hospital I was standing up holding a full wee bottle when a nurse opened the door. It made me jump and I fell back onto the bed and poured the whole lot over me. After thinking oh no I thought it was funny.
