I went out to cut grass this morning and to my great surprise, a new LODown podcast had been downloaded, or uploaded. Anyway, it’s short but fantastic and included some interesting information. What a surprise.

I am not a subscriber to the Athletic, but I did sign up a few months ago for free. The pop up from The Atheltic disappeared when I clicked on the down arrow in the right of the pop. That ability could be a feature of registering even without paying.
The article is long form and has a lot of information from NT about the club, his WhatsApp group he mentions in the podcasts, and his plans for the club. There is a discussion of Relevent Sports that now has the rights to broadcast EFL games in the US, and manages the gambling rights for EFL games here. The owner of the Miami Dolphins is the owner of Relevent Sports. There is talk about a new 17,000 seat stadium, and NT is quoted as wanting Leyton Orient to be the “Brentford of the East.” He also discussed the new 500 seats in the East Stand as well as the need for new investors who will own “up to 30%” of the club. There is also a potential US tournament for the club in 2025. The overall theme of the article is smart partnering with US investors who will supplement and help, but not change the culture of the club.
It’s an exciting article and if it just requires registering for free it’s likely worth the short hassle.
